This tournament is open to girls nine through eighteen years of age, who are residents of Alabama and have not entered college.
1. All entries must be filed on the official Entry Application form either electronically or by printing the entry and mailing it to the WAGA office. Entry applications may also be obtained from the WAGA office. All entries must be received by 5:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2006. 2. An entry fee of $60.00, made payable to WAGA, must accompany the entry application. 3. Withdrawal: If an applicant withdraws prior to July 2, 2006, the entry fee will be refunded upon request subject to a $10.00 administrative fee. No refunds will be made for withdrawals after 12:00 noon, July 2, 2006. Any entry is subject to rejection at any time, either before or during the Championship by the Tournament Committee of the Women's Alabama Golf Association.
The Junior Championship shall be a three (3) day stroke play event with tee times. Flights of eight (8), if possible, shall be determined after the second round of play. Ties for the eighth place for the championship flight will result in an immediate hole by hole play-off. In the event of ties in the lower flights, the tournament committee shall determine the place by blind draw. At the completion of the competition, all ties shall be broken by immediate hole by hole play-off. Championship: There will be three divisions: 18-Hole Division, 9-Hole Short Course Division and 9-Hole Division. The 9-Hole Division is limited to girls nine through twelve years of age. If a girl has reached her thirteenth birthday, she must play in the 18-Hole Division. 9-Holes Short Course: Ages 9 & 10 9-Holes:

All competition will be played in accordance with the United States Golf Association Rules of Golf. Only members of the WAGA Rules Committee shall be authorized to give ruling during play of a tournament. Final decisions are left to the Tournament Committee. In return for being allowed to play in this tournament, the participants expressly assume all risk of injury and loss and agree to hold harmless the officers, directors, members of WAGA and the Host Club and to indemnify them from any and all liability in connection therewith.
All contestants must register in person by 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2006, or state arrival time directly to WAGA Junior Committee. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
The Bea McWane Championship Trophy shall be awarded to the contestant having the lowest gross score upon completion of 54 holes. Ties will be broken by immediate hole-by-hole play-off. The Alabama PGA Wives Medalist Trophy shall be awarded to the contestant having the lowest gross score upon completion of 36 holes. In the event of a tie, both players will be awarded the silver disc. The Whit Lee (Miss Congeniality) Award shall be awarded to the contestant who most exhibits the qualities of kindness, friendliness and helpfulness to her fellow competitors during the competition. Votes from her peers are taken on the final morning of play by secret ballot.

Please make your reservations as soon as possible and identify yourself as a participant in the WAGA Junior Championship. The reserved block of rooms will be released two weeks prior to the tournament.
The host club extends practice privileges to participants on Sunday, July 9, 2006. Players
MUST call the pro shop for practice times (256) 355-5982.
All contestants must walk and either carry their bag or provide their own pull cart. There will be NO CADDIES.
All contestants and spectators are required to wear shoes at all times while on the course. No mini skirts, short shorts, jeans, halters or tank tops are allowed. Any player not meeting these standards will be asked to remedy this situation prior to play. If you have any doubts as to what dress will be accepted, please ask any WAGA official. "Soft spikes" required.
Parents and guests are welcome at all events for a nominal fee of $30.00 per person to cover party costs. Social fee(s) should be paid with entry fee(s).
