FORMAT

The Junior Championship shall be three (3) days of stroke play with tee times.  Flights of 8-12 will be decided after the second day of play depending on the number of contestants.  Ties for the final place for the championship flight will result in an immediate hole-by-hole playoff.  In the event of ties in the lower flights, the Championship Committee shall determine the place by blind draw.  If a tie exists upon completion of play, all ties for first place shall be broken by an immediate hole-by-hole playoff.  All other ties will be broken by the USGA Recommended Tie Breaker Procedure (Appendix I, 11(c)).

There will be three divisions: 18-Hole Division,  9-Hole Short Course Division and 9-Hole Division.  The 9-Hole Short Course Division is limited to girls nine through ten years of age.  All 18 hole players must have a USGA handicap  and 9-Hole contestants must have a USGA Handicap Index or must submit five 9-hole scores.  Age and handicap will determine the players ability to play 18 or 9 holes. The lowest 36 USGA Handicap Indexes may be required to compete in the 18 Hole division.

RULES OF PLAY

All competition will be played in accordance with the United States Golf Association Rules of Golf.  Only members of the WAGA Rules Committee shall be authorized to give ruling during play of a Championship.  Final decisions are left to the Championship Committee.
