Junior
Golfers In 1963, Miss Judy Jehle captured the first Women's Alabama Golf Association Junior Championship. Since that tournament, hundreds of girls have learned to play and enjoy the game of golf. For forty-two years, The Women's Alabama Golf Association has been committed to conducting a Junior Championship for girls ages 9 through 18. In 2005 the WAGA gave their support to the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf Program. The goals of this organization are to learn golf, make friends, sample competition and provide a supportive learning environment. Alabama has two very active Girl's Golf sites, located in Birmingham and Huntsville. To learn more about these programs, please contact the site directors: Birmingham
